Our Executive Chef Brad Masset grew up living and breathing all things culinary arts. His father, Wilford Masset, helped raise him alongside his mother on the newly-purchased property that they intended to transform into a 5-star eatery. Brad grew up playing in what is now the Allison Room in the Manor House. Unlike most children, a lot of his childhood was spent in the kitchen. Brad grew up watching his father, a Swiss-trained chef, prepare, cook, plate, and perfect meals.
These childhood experiences permeated Brad’s vision for his future and before long, he was following in his father’s footsteps. He attended South Seattle Culinary School where his passion for the arts grew. Brad then returned to his home in Yakima to work at Birchfield Manor, bringing locals and visitors alike an unparalleled fine dining experience.
