1. Hike the Yakima Rim Skyline Trail 

Does your pup love to explore the outdoors? The Yakima is filled with diverse terrain that’s perfect for a day of hiking. Be sure to visit the Yakima Skyline Trail with your pup during your visit! This 4.4-mile out-and-back trail boasts beautiful flora and wildlife. Don’t forget to bring a leash and plenty of water! 

2. Visit Norman & Nellie Byrd Dog Park  

Does your dog prefer to run free or cash a tennis ball? Then head to Norm and Nellie Byrd Off-Leash Dog Park. This local dog park is free and open to the public as part of the Yakima Greenway. The greenway also has 15 miles of paved trails for walking, running, and biking. Even better, it’s only about two miles from Birchfield Manor!  

3. Walk at West Valley U-Pick  

Fruits and vegetables can be healthy treats for dogs, so why not take Fido along to West Valley U-Pick? This is one of many u-pick farms in Yakima, WA, where you can pluck fresh fruits and veggies straight from nature. It’s a great option for a leisurely afternoon walk and refreshing snack!  

4. Hydrate at Single Hill Brewing Company 

Stop in Single Hill Brewing Company for a refreshment after your outdoor adventure. This Yakima, WA, brewery has a dog-friendly shaded patio with picnic tables. There are even food trucks on the patio every Saturday and Sunday. Just be sure to bring water for your pup!  

3. Stay at Birchfield Manor Inn and Restaurant  

Head back to Birchfield Manor after a day of exploring the pet-friendly things to do in Yakima, WA. As one of the few pet-friendly hotels in Yakima, we allow up to two dogs in each of our six guest rooms at the Inn.
